I would like to thank Jane from Metro Public Relations for the invite and complimentary pass.
This was the 1st international Generation Beauty event outside of LA and NY. It was all very organized with many volunteer ipsy girls everywhere directing you where to go.
The registration process was very quick and doors opened 11am sharp on Saturday with a massive lineup. The Too Faced booth line filled up instantly and slowly all the other 18 booths lines where filled. Most lineups where about 10-30 minutes long for the exception of Makeup Forever, NYX, and Too Faced where the wait was almost an hour +. The Smashbox line was always full but moved quickly which was awesome.
We all received a map with tickets attached, which we had to give in for our complimentary product. Complimentary products varied from a full size product to samples...Tarte, Smashbox, Too Faced for example gave out a full size product and samples....Benefit, Ogx gave out samples.
Overall, my Generation Beauty experience was ok. It would of been nice if the line ups moved faster, It would of been nice to receive full size products from all the brands, like they do in LA, and it would of been nice if more brands attended. But, what can we expect from the 1st Generation Beauty in TO..an appearance from Michelle Phan would of been nice.
Too Faced line was always "closed" I think it was popular because we all thought we would receive a full size eye shadow palette like they did in LA. we were matched and gifted with the new Born this way concealer and a deluxe sample of either a Better than sex mascara, melted lipstick or tattoos.
Tarte gave us the new full size Tarteist Marcara, products where also available to purchase with small discount.
Smashbox was always full and you could receive a complimentary touch up, pro picture from an awesome photographer plus a full size primer with a deluxe x rated mascara.
I was lucky to meet one of my fav Youtuber SAAAMMAGE Sam
MUFE, Absolute NY, Cake Beauty, Physicians Formula, Royal & Langnickel and NYX booths
Benefit Cosmetics gave us a sneak peak into all the new products coming very soon.
A Youtubers dream set up. Lights, camera & fans.
